Chalkboard Paint Coffee Mugs

Don't forget to stop by and Like my Facebook Page! DIY Vintage Chic.

I thought my coffee mugs needed an update. I grabbed my chalkboard paint and got to work.
Here is what I started with. Cute but... it needed a little more.
I taped off the areas of my mugs.
Once the paint has dried, I made sure to "cure" the paint. I simply scribbled all over the paint with chalk and then gently wiped away.
I will say, I don't use these mugs. They're more for decoration
which is good because the paint scratches off these glossy
mugs pretty easily. You might have to rough up the ceramic
a little in order for the paint to stick if you plan to use
them regularly.
I used a paint marker to write in a few words.
I found this graphic from The Graphic Fairy and used my Image Transfer Tutorial to place the image on the wood.
And I'm ready to go!
