Upcycle Milk Cartons ~ Halloween Decor
Don't forget to stop by and Like my Facebook Page! DIY Vintage Chic.
Save your milk cartons! They can be turned into great Halloween decor!
Materials:
Milk Cartons
Scrapbook Paper
Orange Paint or Paper
Collect your cartons for the number of letters in your word.
Cut the cartons down to the size you need. The width of the cartons are 3 3/4 inches wide so for both 'o's I made them 3 3/4 inches tall. For the 'b' I doubled half the height of the width to make it 5 5/8 inches {follow that?}.
Now wrap your cartons up much like you would a gift. You may need two pieces of paper per carton depending on the size.
Now trace your letters {or design} on to your cartons
You're ready to paint! {If you would rather not spend the time painting you can always cut the letters out of orange paper and paste them onto your cartons.}
I'm thinking about adding some glow in the dark paint!
I also added in some pumpkin faces on the side boxes.
Have fun making your own!!!
Thanks for stopping by!

***While I'm thrilled to share my step-by-step directions, the good and the bad, these are intended for your personal use. I'm always happy to hear and see what my bloggers have been working on. BUT a lot of work goes into these creations and while I have no issues sharing so you are able to create the work for your precious homes please understand that selling an exact duplication of my designs is highly frowned upon. :( Please always be considerate of another artists work. Thank you!***
This is such a cute idea!! Great work. Congrats on your liebster award!

ReplyDeleteI've been wanting to create something similar for Halloween, but I was going to use wood, and haven't been able to find the right size. I love that you reused milk cartons! I wonder what I have around here I could use. Thanks for sharing at the Pinworthy Project Party.
