DIY Vintage Wine Crate Coffee Table ~ Whitewash

Don't forget to stop by and Like my Facebook Page and Follow me on Twitter!

So I'm coming up on my 3 year anniversary of creating the Vintage Wine Crate Coffee Table. It's become wildly popular but I've been wanting to change things up a little.
So after staining my crates their typical dark color I applied white paint with a dry brush technique. I simply dap a small amount on just the ends of my dry brush and lightly apply it to the crates.
Once the paint dried I sanded down the corners and edges. Then I applied another layer of a lighter stain. This creates SO MANY COLORS.
Of course directions can still be found on the original post or feel free to contact me on Etsy to purchase them.

Thanks for stopping by!

***While I'm thrilled to share my step-by-step directions, the good and the bad, these are intended for your personal use. I'm always happy to hear and see what my bloggers have been working on. BUT a lot of work goes into these creations and while I have no issues sharing so you are able to create the work for your precious homes please understand that selling an exact duplication of my designs is highly frowned upon. :( Please always be considerate of another artists work. Thank you!***

  2. Hello!
What did you use to make the stain for after you put the white paint on?

    Thank you!

    1. Hi Jordan, for the 2nd stain I used one of my homemade stains I had sitting around. I believe it was the Apple Cider Vinegar with steel wool. You can find this stain and more on my Stain Tutorial post. http://diy-vintage-chic.blogspot.com/2013/04/natural-wood-stain-tutorial.html
