DIY Wine Crate Console Table

Don't forget to stop by and Like my Facebook Page and Follow me on Twitter!

We're making progress on the house! Our kitchen remodel was a couple of years ago. This year we installed the floor and we're ALMOST done with the crown molding and baseboards. So it's time to start decorating, right?

One night we stopped by the store and these cute crates were sitting around. We got a deal on them! Took them home where they sat for... a couple of years. But finally, I had an idea.
Unfortunately, I was too excited about the project so there are not a lot of 'how to' photos. Basically, I built the frames for the front and back pieces.
Using A LOT of pocket holes I attached the shelves.
I built the console to the specs of the wine crates so it's a unique piece. Hopefully, nothing happens to the crates or it may be hard to find new ones that fit on the shelves!
I painted the shelf piece white and then sanded down the edges for a rustic look.
Using corner brackets I attached the boards on top after staining and finishing them.
Now the fun part! Decorating the table!
Plenty of room for our wine now!
Stay tuned for a new project. I'll be transforming the crates on the bottom shelf for more storage.
And here the console table is with the Farmhouse Table I made a couple of years ago.
