DIY Jewelry Holder
Don't forget to stop by and Like my Facebook Page! DIY Vintage Chic.
Does anyone have a jewelry box that looks like this? You can't even close it. And good luck finding matching earrings in a hurry.
Well I finally decided to do something about it.
Materials:
Scrap Wood ~ Create a frame
Screen ~ buy a roll of window screen
Paint ~ color of your choosing
Drawer Knobs ~ the style, size and number is up to you
Picture Hanger
My hubby had built this frame for a different project {that obviously never happened}. I didn't want his hard work to go to waste.
I had spray painted it a metallic color before but I opted for white {with a little distressing} to match our cottage bedroom I've been trying to redo forever.
I also spray painted a few wooden knobs I grabbed at Lowe's. {I would REALLY like to find a few vintage knobs to use for this project}
I roughed up the edges and distressed the sides a bit.
I had some screen leftover from redoing our screens last year. You can grab a whole roll for a pretty good price. I attached the screen to the back with a few staples.
I used some epoxy to attached the knobs.
And added some blue paint. I also sanded and distressed the knobs.
Attached a picture hanger on the back and I was ready to go.
The little cubbies work out perfect. Now I have a ledge to set my watches and bracelets on as well.
And finally I have everything on display... I think. There might be more jewelry buried somewhere...
Why do I have 5 watches and never wear any of them???
Thanks for stopping by!

***While I'm thrilled to share my step-by-step directions, the good and the bad, these are intended for your personal use. I'm always happy to hear and see what my bloggers have been working on. BUT a lot of work goes into these creations and while I have no issues sharing so you are able to create the work for your precious homes please understand that selling an exact duplication of my designs is highly frowned upon. :( Please always be considerate of another artists work. Thank you!***
