Friday’s Five Features ~ No 6.

Don't forget to stop by and Like my Facebook Page! DIY Vintage Chic.
After endless {and an embarrassing} number of hours spent online below are the Five Features for this Friday! I've separated and selected my favorite from the following categories; Recipes, Decor, Tutorials, Furniture and a Bonus! Next week I'll be selecting from the link-ups below so be sure to add your latest project!

Fav Recipe: Dark Chocolate, applesauce, Greek yogurt... sounds like a delicious and healthy recipe!
Makin' It Mo Betta ~ Super Skinny Chocolate Muffins
Fav Decor: Find out how to paint over those labels!
The Painted Apron ~ Painted Wine Bottle

Fav Tutorials: Check out this technique
Glass Slippers Restoration ~ How To Restore Vintage Door Hardware

Fav Furniture: Find out how to glam up that old file cabinet you've been hiding
Maison de Pax ~ Vintage File Cabinet Makeover
Vintage Patina Tutorial
Brushed Steel Tutorial

Bonus: Love the beat up red and white boards with a barbed wire star. A very juxtaposed piece. Not in the materials but in the thoughts it creates (at least for me). Red and white stripes with a star = America, Pride, Freedom. Rusty barbed wire = Danger, Caged, Harmful. Your thoughts....?
Giraffe Legs ~ Pallet Sign - All American Star

Check out who I've linked up with this week by going to my Linky Party Page!

***While I'm thrilled to share my step-by-step directions, the good and the bad, these are intended for your personal use. I'm always happy to hear and see what my bloggers have been working on. BUT a lot of work goes into these creations and while I have no issues sharing so you are able to create the work for your precious homes please understand that selling an exact duplication of my designs is highly frowned upon. :( Please always be considerate of another artists work. Thank you!***

  14. Hi Becca, thanks for featuring my pallet star this week! I love your thoughts, however I have to say for me the barred wire is almost as American as the red and white stripes. I think of cowboys and farms, and livestock, and perhaps the sweat and blood so many have shed to make their dreams come true. Whatever your take, you have to admit it's a pretty cool piece and we love it!
